- Do we accept donations other than registering for the Virtual Walk?

The answer is YES. We could not continue to do what we do without the support of others holding events on our behalf and private donations we receive throughout the year as well. Use the Donate button on the Virtual Walk page to donate to an individual fundraiser, a Team, or the cause.

 

We are so grateful for each and every one of you and your continued support of our walk, the events held to raise money for us and your encouraging words to those fighting breast cancer.

 

- Can I form a Team?

Yes, we encourage you to form a team and get your friends and family involved in your activities and community service. Once you register for the Virtual Walk, you will have the opportunity to join or form a team. All team members must be registered with the Walk site.

 

- Can I pre-register for the walk?

Since the Walk is Virtual, this year, you have to register online here... starting September 1, 2020. The Virtual Walk will end on October 31, 2020, the last day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

 

- How old do my children need to be to participate in the walk?

Children of any age are welcome to participate in the virtual walk, run, bike, or jog. If they will collect sponsor donations, register them on the website: www.gouverneurbreastcancerwalk.com

 

- How long is the walk?

The walk can be a run, a bike, or a jog— any distance or duration. Or register... and seek donations. You decide, get your sponsors, and have fun! Track your progress on your personal fundraising page, this is created by you when you registered.

 

- If our team raises enough money does each member receive a T-shirt?

Anyone who registers and donated the registration fee of $35.00 will receive a t-shirt. T-shirts are limited to one per registered participant, but you can order a long sleeved t-shirt or sweatshirt hoodie, at our website shop.

 

- Who do I call if I have a question about the Virtual Walk?

Please contact any of the Gouverneur Breast Cancer Fund Committee‬.

- What can I or my team do to raise funds for the Virtual Walk?

Ask your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to help support you in your efforts. Get creative, hold car washes, bake sales, walk pets, spring clean up, hold a raffle. Anything you want to do that is safe and fun... we encourage.

- How do I turn in the donations I collect to the GBCF Committee?

You may turn your fundraising money into the GBCF Committee in person on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020 at the  Gouverneur Community Center, from Noon - 3:00PM.


Or you can mail checks to: Gouverneur Breast Cancer Fund, PO Box 64, Gouverneur, NY 13642. 


Or you can deliver your fundraising donations to any member of the committee.

- Where can I get my GBCF Walk t-shirt if I am a registered participant?

If you registered in September, T-shirts may be picked up in the Village Park on October 10, 2020 - from Noon to 3:00PM. If you registered during the month of October, (Deadline for t-shirts was October 15) you can pick your shirt up at the Donation Drop-Off on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020 at the  Gouverneur Community Center, from Noon - 3:00PM.
